URL Organizer Free
Latest news

Bookmark Buddy, the newest bookmark manager in the product line is now available. It is packed with useful features, whilst still retaining the elegant simplicity of the original. But if you want just a few more features (such as keeping notes), there is URL Organizer 2. For a detailed comparison, see here.
I have ceased development of URL Organizer Free, though I continue to support it. The latest version, 1.4.7, was released on 23 August 2004.

What is it?   URL Organizer is a fast, simple utility for storing and managing a large collection of URLs. If you find hierarchical menus or tree lists a cumbersome way to store and access your URLs, then try this out. URLs are stored in a three-level hierarchy, making it practical to store up to 2,000 URLs, each accessible with just a few mouse clicks or using the simple search facility. The program also remembers when you last visited each URL.
bullet Opens URLs in the frontmost or a new browser window.
bullet Encourages you to organize URLs as you add them, making it easier to find them later.
bullet Remembers when you last visited each URL.
bullet Allows you to manually add, edit or delete URLs.
bullet Allows you to add a URL by dragging a plain text URL, hyperlink or Internet shortcut onto the URL Organizer window, or by fetching the URL from a web browser window.
bullet Allows you to re-name URLs, sub-categories and categories at any time.
bullet Allows you to move URLs between sub-categories, and whole subcategories betwen categories.
bullet Supports up to three separate collections of URLs and three different Web browsers.
Compatibility   URL Organizer Free has been tested under Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000 and XP. It comes pre-configured to work with any version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator and you can configure it to work with several other browsers (such as Mozilla and Opera).
